Caretaker
Overview
We are seeking a responsible and experienced property caretaker to oversee the maintenance of our properties. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills and be capable of performing a variety of tasks to ensure the property is well-maintained with seamless operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and security concerns.
- Artisan; Troubleshooting minor repair and maintenance works
- Follow up on routine maintenance as and when due, reporting on repairs as and when they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory
- Coordinate with external contractors for routine service delivery e.g garbage collection etc
- In liaison with property manager, collection and follow up of Service Charge payment proof from owners.
- Ensure the security of the property by monitoring surveillance systems and implementing appropriate security measures.
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or security breaches.
- Submission of daily reports to the Property Manager.
- Attending to all complaints lodged by residents and escalate as appropriate.
- Ensure that all emergency equipment is ready to use at all times.
- Take water meter readings and forward them to the property manager for billing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Certificate / Diploma in property management
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of basic maintenance techniques, including minor plumbing and electrical.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.
- Availability to respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours, if needed.
- Experience using maintenance tools and equipment.
